Jacobs first started lessons in acting at the age of 8 and continued attending sessions on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Jacobs quit Lebanon High School to go to New York City in 2000. There she was a part of the Drama Division of Group 33. She graduated in 2004 with an undergraduate degree.
